What we do
Shiny Learning is an independent, family-run business established in 2008. We sell educational, motivational, fun software designed to include children with special needs.
As far as possible our software includes switch access, speech support and activities that can be edited or tailored to meet individual requirements.

Who we are
Our backgrounds are in teaching, designing and programming educational software, web design, publishing, writing and editing.
We are delighted to be working with LäraMera
Program AB, a long-established and highly-respected software
publisher. Based in
Sweden and run by
teachers, LäraMera has a reputation for
creating fun, educational and motivating software designed to include
children with
special needs.
In the last quarter of 2008 we worked together to produce the English version of Memory Games - software to train Working (short term) Memory. Designed by teachers and Educational Psychologists in Sweden this software is proving highly successful in practice in Swedish schools, helping children with concentration and ADHD related problems. This innovative program has received support and development funding from the Swedish Institute for Special Needs Education.
The Proprietor
Before leaving my management position in 2002 I enjoyed a busy and fulfilling career at Inclusive Technology, undoubtedly a leading supplier of switch accessible software and assistive technology. I particularly enjoyed my time as a designer and programmer. I am delighted that some of my creations were in demand for more than ten years, and some on which I collaborated are still going strong.
After a complete break to have our children I find I have a renewed passion for sourcing and creating extra special software - this is the driving force behind Shiny Learning.
