Crosswords and More

Crosswords and More is designed to improve spelling and vocabulary in a fun and motivating way. It contains four types of exercise: Crosswords, Word Search, Match Pictures to Words and Missing Letters.

It includes nearly eight hundred ready-made exercises divided into three difficulty levels and three grid sizes, all of which are editable.

Speech support is provided throughout the program. Click on the picture clues to hear words spoken before or whilst you are trying to spell them. Letters are spoken as they are added to the grid, and words are spoken as they are completed. Within the editor you have the option to configure individual words to have their letters spoken using letter sounds or letter names.

New word lists and exercises can be created using the editors included in the program. You can use the existing image and speech libraries to create new word lists and exercises, and you can easily add your own images and speech. A Random Crossword Generator allows new exercises to be created in a few mouse clicks.

Optionally you can display up to eight Help Letters on the screen below the grid for an extra level of support.

All the exercises can be printed out to be solved on paper.
